Dear Parents,

We have made it through the first 2 weeks of school. It is going great! I am so excited to see how much everyone has grown and all the new faces. I just want to clarify a few things and send out a  schedule of some upcoming events.

Paperwork- Our policy requires that every student have all paperwork turned in within 30 days from the first day of classes. This does include a copy of their birth certificate and a physical. The deadline to have everything turned is Friday, September 29th. If a child is missing any paperwork after the deadline, they cannot attend classes until everything is turned in. Thank you for your cooperation!

Kindergarten Visits- They will begin in the next few weeks. This is just a gradual step to kindergarten for those going next year. As parents you do not need to attend. The kids will go and do a simple game or activity and we will return to the classroom.

Intro to High Scope Curriculum/Open House – Wed. Sept. 25th at 6:00 p.m. We will have a short parent meeting explaining our daily teaching curriculum, goals, and explanation of our day. This is the time for you to come and ask questions, check on your child's progress, and see how everything is laid out in our room.

Sickness- Our licensing rules state that a child must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school. We ask the parents to please cooperate with this policy.

Alphabet-We will start learning our letters on Monday, September 18th. We will be doing several activities every  week that involve each letter. On Friday we will have show and tell. I am asking that students brings items that start with our letter of the week. (example: letter A= apple, or stuffed animal)

Pumpkin Patch- We will be going to the K.C. Pumpkin Patch on Tuesday, October 10th. I will give more details as time gets closer.

                                                       Thanks,

                                                             Mrs. Kellhofer
