November 2017

On Tuesday, October 31st the Preschool and Kindergarten classes will be going to the Prescott Nursing Home and the bank in Prescott, Ks to visit and trick or treat. Your child may wear a simple costume or Halloween shirt to wear there. We will leave around 9:15 and return around 10:15. We are going to have the classroom party at 1:15-1:45. At 1:45 we will get dressed for the Halloween parade. The parade will begin at 2:15pm in the gym. Following the parade we will return to our classroom and remove our costumes and get ready to go home. There is a sign up sheet in the classroom of needed items for the class party.

Parent Teacher Conference

Parent teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, November, 9th from 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m.. There will be a sign up sheet by the daily child sign in clipboard.

Veteran's Day Program

On Friday, November 11 veterans are invited to come and eat lunch at the school at 12:30. At 1:00 p.m. the high school students will be putting on a Veteran's Day program. If you know a Veteran, please have them come to the school that day. We would like to honor anyone who has served our country.

Our preschool students will be selling candles as a fundraiser this year. We will start on Friday, November 20th and return all orders by Monday, November, 27th. The fundraiser helps pay for misc. class items. In the past our fundraiser has paid for classroom laptops, class t-shirts, and field trips. We are asking that each family set a goal of selling 10 candles and participate in the fundraiser. If your child sells 15 candles or more, they will be able to throw a pie in Mrs. Kellhofer's face at the Christmas Party!

Pilgrim Feast

On Friday, November 17th at 2:30 p.m. the Preschool and Kindergarten classes will be having a pilgrim feast. We will be cooking a family style thanksgiving meal. More details to come at a later date.

Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving Break will begin on Wednesday, November 22nd-26th.

Parents, the weather is changing so it is time to update your child's cubbie. Please send a pair of pants, long sleeve shirt, and a pair of socks for your child to keep at school in case of an accident.

Thank you so much to all the parents and family members who helped make the school carnival so much fun. We appreciate all the wonderful help and donations that everyone provided.

If you have any questions or concerns please call,

Mrs. Kellhofer
