Online learning:

Teachers are to use google classroom as their platform for online learning. If a student chooses the Edmentum option they will use the required courseware for that.

Vocational students will be able to eat in the cafeteria and will practice social distancing.

Phase 3: Staff and students are required to wear masks or face shields when they are not able to social distance.

Bus Routes:

Parents are encouraged to transport their children to and from school if possible. This will place fewer students on routes and allow for better social distancing.

Buses will be loaded from the rear to the front with family clusters, regardless of age.

Phase 2: Students will be socially distanced as much as possible on the bus routes. Students    and bus drivers are recommended to wear masks or face shields on the bus.

Bathrooms:

Phase 3: Bathroom use will be limited to a max occupancy of 2.

Absences:

All Phases: Any absences occurring during the school year related to illness or quarantine due to COVID will not negatively impact your student’s attendance under the following circumstances:

Students who are placed in isolation quarantine by the LPHA qualify for homebound instruction and must participate in 5 hours of instruction (can be virtual) in order to be considered “present” for school attendance purposes. However, if the student does not participate in this virtual instruction, they must be counted absent.

All school work will continue to be provided in either paper or electronic form regardless of the students’ participation in the 5 hours of “homebound instruction”.

Contact Tracing:

All Phases: In the event of a confirmed positive case contact tracing will be done by the local health department and they will be assisted by Hume School Personnel.

COVID Testing:

All Phases: Testing is available at the local health department and local medical clinics.

Vaccinations:

All Phases: Vaccinations are available at the local health department and local medical clinics for anyone that is eligible and wishes to receive a vaccine.

Accommodations:

All Phases: Accommodations will be made as necessary or as mandated by an Individual Education Plan with respect to the health and safety policies.

Continuity of Services:

-       The district returned to in-person learning in August of 2020 and continues to provide in-person instruction moving forward.

-       If further interruptions occur with in-person learning due to quarantines or temporary closures, the district will provide instruction online. Students with disabilities will continue receiving services as outlined in their IEP.

-       The district will continue to provide for the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students and staff during in-person or online instruction. Our counselor will be available in-person and virtually to all students and staff.

Understandable Language:

The SRCSP is available in languages understandable to stakeholders. The SRCSP will be available in English and Spanish in the district office. Stakeholders who need a copy in another language may contact the office.

This plan is relevant as of 6/9/2021. We are required to review the plan and revise, if necessary, at least every six months. (The review will include the following stakeholder groups: students, parents, teachers, and administrators at all levels.) It will be evaluated again on August 18, 2021. This plan is subject to change as public health guidelines are updated.
