***If you choose to hand in scholarships to the counselor, they need to be in by 8 of the morning indicated to be postmarked in time!
***Most of these will not be handed out prior to Christmas Break. I will get them to you as soon as they are available.

· As part of Missouri’s “Grow Your Own Initiative,” Hume R-VIII shall provide a one-time scholarship to a graduate from Hume Schools seeking qualification as a teacher. Individuals can reapply as funding allows. It is required that the recipient plans to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university and funds must be used during the academic year immediately following acceptance of the award. Disbursement of funds is dependent on the recipient providing proof of enrollment in education classes for the first semester. Students are required to provide a copy of their fall-semester transcript and spring-semester schedule for the second disbursement.
Applications are due to the Hume R-VIII no later than 3 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023. Recipients will be notified no later than 3:30 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2023.
