NOVEMBER 9, 2023
The Hume R-VIII School District announces the filing dates for
the Board of Education for the General Election on April 2nd, 2024.
Qualified persons interested in filing should go to the Business
Manager’s Office at 9163 SW 2 nd Street Hume, MO 64752. Qualified
persons will be able to file during normal office hours.
Filing opens: December 5th, 2023 at 8:00 a.m.
Filing closes: December 26th, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
Regular School Office Hours:
December 5th, through December 18th: 8:00 a.m to 3:30 p.m.
Holiday Office Hours and Dates:
December 19th: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
December 26th: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The office will be closed December 20th through December 25th.
No filings will be accepted on days the district offices/schools are closed
for inclement weather.
There are two 3-year terms open for election. Candidate names
will be placed on the ballot according to who filed first in time rank
order. If you have any questions prior to filing you may contact the
business office at 660-643-7411, during normal business hours.
